When saving items to Roblox via the save to Roblox guis Roblox hangs for roughly 10-15 seconds on my machine.
This occurs 100% of the time and it results in a very slow workflow when working with cloud modules. This only occurs during heavy network delay. (Which I usually experience and was experiencing every previous time I have worked on modules funnily)
This bug occurs in all places I’ve tested including Baseplate maps.
The freezing occurs before any GUI window is visible.
OS: Windows 10 (x64) CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G (4 core, 3.75 GHz) GPU: AMD Radeon RX 570 Series (performance is comparable to a GTX 1060 6GB) RAM: 1x4 GB (2400MHz clock speed)
This bug has been occurring for a while, most likely since the new upload UI was implemented into studio.
This appears to be related to the population of the GUI as well as (probably) my internet speed. (I get very bad internet speeds on all adapters due to some kind of software/driver bug specific to my Windows installation)
Here is a video of the issue. (I apologize for Windows not appearing in the recording. Additionally it will be low quality until YouTube processes it fully. For context, I open the context menu at the very beginning and select Save to Roblox. About 4 seconds from the end the Window pops up which is a little after studio stops hanging)
That video isn’t very helpful. It just shows Studio frozen. It would be more useful to see a video of how you got there & what happened after Studio unfroze. I.e.:
Clicking the publish/save button
Studio locking
The publish window opening
If you need a better recording tool, try ShareX. It allows you to capture a specific region, which you can directly upload to the forum instead of YouTube (or a host like Gfycat) and not have to deal with processing.
It would also be better if your video shows you publishing an empty baseplate, to rule out various distracting factors like place contents / specific games.
I have actually confirmed this seems to be entirely network related now (most likely the script is waiting for responses). I am currently getting a stable connection (which is actually somewhat rare for me) and I am getting very minor freezing (~1 second) which is not really enough to show the issue here. I’ll make sure that as soon as I am consistently encountering this issue again I have a video containing everything you mentioned above.
