Didn’t realize that having teamcreate on while overwriting a place could have some big negative consequences.
Accidentally overwrote another project of mine in regard to publishing on another place. The place itself is fine in-game, specifically in the sense that you’re able to play it normally. However, I cannot edit the place in studio because it instead shows the overwritten form. There are no autosaves or recentsaves with which I can bring back a version before the overwrite, and turning teamcreate on and off doesn’t help anything either.
When you tried to revert it did you revert it to a version that was the most recent version or a version that was a day ago? Also once you reverted it what exactly happens? Nothing?
I reverted it back to before I accidentally reverted it, which was about a day or so ago. Once I reverted it, nothing happened. Nothing changed in-game in terms of studio or in the normal game itself when being played.
If you play the game and it still has the old game then maybe when you replaced it with the team create game it just created a new place. Check the places under the game.
I can’t download an older version since it was all done in teamcreate before. There’s no recentsaves or autosaves of any kind with which I can bring anything out.
@TooMuchRice There are no new places under the game, the place it was accidentally overwritten with was an ordinary game, no teamcreate in it whatsoever.
I honestly can’t think of many ways to fix this. Maybe you can try to make it uncopylocked and then saving it onto your computer and then rewriting the game with the downloaded copy? It seems to be the same game so maybe before you uncopylock it try and reopen it in studio a few times and pray lol.
I have no clue sadly. This issue might be a studio bug or we might just be missing something. If you want you can submit a post in the studio bugs forum.
When reverting to a prior version, did you publish the place? After an update, you have to publish the changes in order to revert a place successfully.
Wait, so what you’re saying is that if I revert to an earlier version, despite how Studio may look in contrast to what I need, all I need to do is publish?
