Tried this using VPN previously and it was practically unusable with censorship, figured it was going to be better on full release but I still can’t use 2/3 of the innocent normal names I try to type, even names or items that ROBLOX would not accidentally censor normally, kinda let down as I can’t use any of the display names I had in mind despite them being okay.

Yeah, it’s weird that words like “Super”, “Thorne”, “Gooroo”, and other normal words are censored.

Seriously! RedSquirl and favorite videogame serousely censord according to copyright law and robux is also censord for several reason. sorry.

No, 1 percent of everywhere. 1 percent worldwide did not get the display names update yet.

I changed my display name to Im_TheGod12, one week later I change it to my username Kf637 and it seems like it didn’t update here on devforums.
I’m I the only one who has this issue?

I mean It’s changed to Kf637 now, maybe it’s just a bit delayed when chaging it.

Actually hold on a minute, I changed my display name on roblox to Nexus and it haven’t changed here, this problem might be on roblox’s end when I think about it.

This is useful and all (basically another nickname for a user)
But aren’t we gonna talk about impersonation and other problems?
Examples are:
Yter’s/Dev’s names being used as display names by 13384839 people. Using their name to trick others or making them look bad in a way by being mean
Bypassing the filter (A thing that’s been happening for a long time)
Joke display names causing that user to get a warning or ban (Unless it actually breaks the tos)
We need a system for people to not get confused on who is the real person (Simple solution is looking at their @ to check they’re legit)
Instead of looking at the leaderboard or the player list menu

I agree with @InocuIar. I think putting numbers and x, z s too much in a display name should be restricted.

This was a biggest mistake. Now everywhere is a mess about them. People impersonating themselves as other people. Not only youtuber, but also usual players. Filters also work wrong. Everyone’s names become spam-words like “sus” “amogus” and other odd names. You can’t recognize your friend and by mistake can unfriend them in game or somewhere. Roblox tries to be a social media, but making platform social media is a disaster.
