Scaling in one direction

  1. If I select 10 parts, how do I scale them all in one direction? They are scaled in all directions. I am currently using a plugin for this, but I would guess that you can do it with built-in tools.
  2. How do I scale a model in one direction? When I drag using one of the spheres, model scales in all directions.

Not a supported roblox feature, at least I don’t think it is. You have to use a plugin.

@mashkov_dev

Quite simple

Just select all your parts an union them. Then scale it to your liking. They will move as one.

After you set them to how you want just un-union them – an they will stay in place!

If its just a model an your trying to do this, the entire model would scale – rather than individually :")

But a plugin like building tools would work just fine

Thank you for the answer. The only problem I encountered was that you cant add Meshes to unions. Do I just switch to plugins in this case?

Your welcome :'> @mashkov_dev

No silly – you are able to union meshes :"D

Before;

After;

IMPORTANT!!!

I wouldn’t recommend unioning meshes though! – As for currently you can’t separate them once done so!!!

So when regarding meshes, just eighter user a plugin, or manually do it :"D

How?

Here is an object I tried to union:

barrel.rbxm (8.3 KB)

@mashkov_dev
My apologies! – Its cause I have the beta feature enabled;

Can be found here;

Hence is why I can do this;

Before – seperate;

After – unioned;
