Hello! I was currently working on my first bigger project in Blender which was SCAR-L assault rifle. I appreciate any feedback!
It looks really nice, I don’t think there’s anything you can do to improve it besides texturing it. But other than that, it is amazing!
It looks amazing! Bet it would look more awesome wirh a texture.
I don’t really know about gun design and mechanic that much, but from looking at it I would say that the cylinders/smooth surface/spheres you are using use way too much triangles, sometimes I would go for a 16 sided cylinder if the surface is medium sized, and 8 if it’s barely noticeable.
And if you haven’t, smooth shade it, I still see those sharp edges due to the lighting, maybe you thought that if you make the cylinders more detailed it would be smoother. Enable auto smooth if it won’t get smooth. You should always check you tricount and optimize it, just don’t remove any necessary detail or go way too low poly.
Looks great! Keep up the good work.
Thanks, i dont really have much Blender experience but i will listen to you and use less triangles.
Looks great so far, good work.
I would look into adding some more details to the barrel.
Additionally, the the main body of the scar looks a bit blocky and has sharp edges (Red)
You can add a little space between the attachment bar (Blue)
You can find more images here 3D scar-l model - TurboSquid 1401135
Other than that, adding some attachments could be nice
Looks amazing! Super realistic, nice job. I will be keeping in touch to see how you have improved.
Hey, It looks really nice but it seems that on the barrel it’s shaded smooth in blender. This is fine but I would use a modifier called edge split so it looks more even. Hope this helps.
Now that looks cool. Good job buster.
It looks nice in my opinion, but the barrel looks a bit funny.
