SCP: Horizon Development Log | Preview [12/18/2024]

Hey there everyone, for the last year SCP: Horizon has been in development and has actually had some good progress.

Q: Firstly who am I?
A: Well I’m the Assistant Developer and Lead Programmer @ SCP: Horizon

What we have right now

    • Basic Functions and Features
      • Advanced Eyesight and Player Detection System
      • Random Movement and Choices ( Will expand on this in a minute )
      • Vast Questioning and Response System ( Will also expand on this too )

Player Features and Playability


As of right now, there is not much playability as far as roleplay, however in the backend (server side), we have somewhat of the base feature, I.E keycard levels, ranks, teams, and more.

SCP Features


  • SCP-049

    • 1: Advanced Eyesight and Player Detection System

      • SCP-049’s Eyesight system and Player Detection System relies on roblox’s feature Raycasting which can find parts as well as players near it. SCP-049 Uses a view cone based system Example below.

  • 2 Random Movement and Choices

    • SCP-049 Can randomly choose to walk around his cell or choose to sit down in a chair in his cell as of right now this is all he can do.
  • 3: Questioning and Response System
    • SCP-049’s Questioning and Response System as of now has 65 Different responses to predefined questions
  • SCP-049-2
    • SCP-049-2 Is currently in its early dev stage. (SCP-049-2 is what Spawns if SCP-049 Kills a player.)
