Greetings.
It is time for the community to appoint a new Elected Site Director.
Please read the speeches below written by each of the applying candidates so that you may vote for the best one. All speeches will remain anonymous until after the election ends. Speeches are presented exactly as they were provided, without any modifications.
Speech A
Hello, it is time for Site Director elections again. I have been in this foundation for a while now and have decided to run for Site Director. When I first joined this community, I never expected to become a Level 4, much less that I would be writing a speech for Site Director elections. But now, a new site has been released and I am seeing new issues with departments that I want to help solve. I am not the greatest at writing speeches so I will try to keep this short and to the point. Here are a few things I want to do as a Site Director:
- I want to listen to everyone within the foundation. I know this is said a lot but it is especially important now that the site has been revamped. There are all kinds of bugs and issues that need to be fixed. Everyone’s opinions are important and need to be heard. I want to help give people the means to do this more efficiently to help us improve the new site and with the foundation in general.
- I plan on making more transparency between the high ranks and low ranks. I think that a really big issue with departments is that the low ranks are uninformed or unaware of changes happening within the department or the reasoning with the decisions high command makes. We could change this in a multitude of ways.
- I want to help all the departments reform and fit into the new site. Now that a new site has been released, most, if not all of high command has to revise and remake their guidelines. This can be a lengthy process that takes a lot of work and cooperation between departments. I hope to work with all the departments and to act as a bridge between them, promoting cooperation and helping with communication.
I hope to do much more then what I just said above, however, those are my main goals. I already have ideas on how to follow through with all my promises above. I hope you take the time to consider me to be your next Site Director. Thank you.
Speech B
Greetings. As the time has once again arrived for Elected Site Director speeches, I have decided to take the opportunity to run for this prestigious position within the Foundation. Honestly, I have never expected myself to have the chance to run for the Elected Site Director position nor even become a Level 4. Despite that, it is important to remember that change is inevitable as time carries on, thus I hope to improve the Foundation for the better by achieving these goals:
a) This is a universal promise that all, if not, most speeches will mention, but it is an important one that should be addressed. As Elected Site Director, I would have the inherent duty of listening to your concerns and suggestions, just as those who fulfilled this position in the past. Your voice shall be heard.
b) It has been quite some time since any minor or possibly even major issues have been addressed throughout all the departments; therefore, I plan to amend underlying or newly emanating issues in departments that personnel within each department may profess.
c) Often times, to regular personnel, the High Command may appear intimidating or as if they do not want to be bothered, but this is merely a stereotype. To minimize any fears of speaking to a member of the High Command, I believe it would be beneficial for personnel to familiarize themselves with our High Command through events.
Let me tell you that anything is possible if you apply yourself through hard work and dedication and show that you are worthy for a high ranking position within any department. One day you may find yourself in these same shoes running for the position of Elected Site Director. If you lend me a vote, you are contributing to the positive future of the Foundation.
Speech C
It’s that time, Site Director Speeches. Never did I think that in a million years I would have this opportunity, but here I am, sitting here thinking to myself, “If I got Site Director, what would I do?”. Well, I’m sure you’re wondering the same thing. Let me answer it for you, as the Elected Site Director, I would like to focus on some pretty major things, I’ll bullet point it for you.
-
A More Organized Site. What I mean is, I want more coordination between departments, combatives, and department command. Our site is run without a care in the world, and I’m looking to change that. The Mobile Task Forces need to work closely with the Security Department, if not, as shown multiple times, we have a severe lack of communication, which results in Personnel misconduct and poor choices on both sides. A great example is during Chaos Insurgency raids on the Facility, multiple times we have failed to protect our own facility due to our combatives being unable to communicate properly, putting our personnel at risk. In addition, on-site lockdowns take place far too much, preventing essential personnel in the Medical Department and Scientific Department from doing their job. This hurts not only the facility, but the foundation. Countless previous Site Directors have failed to organize our communications and operations, yet explicitly promise us that they will. I’m here to change that.
-
Following up on my last point, overall, I think we have great community health, however, there is still a lot of room for improvement. A gap that I will close, by connecting our community better than it ever has been before. On-site, foundation personnel need to work together closely, allowing for smoother operations and less mishaps on-site, making everyone’s time here at the foundation enjoyable. That’s what I strive for, making you enjoy your time here at the foundation. Allowing personnel to do more activities, learn more about the foundation, and do what they do best, Secure, Contain, And Protect.
-
Lastly, I would like to touch up on personnel duties. We do not have enough variety, department personnel must do the same task everyday, making their positions repetitive, boring, and all around unenjoyable. If elected, I will change that, and make sure that there is an adequate amount of duties for each department. Personnel will be given more tasks, duties, and more activities they can attend too.
Thank you for reading my speech, I hope you make the decision to give me a chance as your next Elected Site Director. If there’s one thing I can assure you, it’s that I won’t let you down.
Speech D
To whom it may concern,
No amount of expressive language or action can express my gratitude to the hard-working members of the Foundation for not only continually proving to themselves and to others that they are capable of performing within their jobs in an efficient and respectable manner but also through its strength in personnel morale. Communitarianism, if you will. This community has risen to success many times before and continue to aspire for greater heights. Creators and community organizers alike band together and form their own smaller communities of people; sympathizers of the Foundation or those who were new and yearned to learn more about it. These communities would welcome those who were new and would do everything within their ability to make a change to not just themselves but to others as well. Creativity and ingenuity would be the guiding light in the Foundation and would help the community differentiate what it means to be accepting and demeaning. The community was fun to be a part of and still is, which is why it is disappointing that much of the spark that existed in the community then has been slowly diminishing as time passes. Unfortunately, this era of creativity and developmental progress has been overshadowed by the plague of bandwagon Foundations which were made for the sole purpose of generating revenue through false or misleading advertisements and prying on the ingenuity of others. These groups (which will remain unnamed) harness the wrong aspects of the genre and give it publicity through the thousands of players on ROBLOX and have no real right to maintain the group that they have now. While there may exist groups within the genre who adopt qualities which can be correlated directly with lore or other legitimate components, many groups within the genre do not.
The reason I am concerned about this in regards to our own community is that I feel that we play a key role in defining how the genre should move forward. Following the creation of this group, it was clear to me (despite the fact that I was not in the group or directly involved at the time) that great things would be done here, not because it was willed to be so, but because of the strength of its community. Presently, it is our strength and self-identification that need refining. We do not need more laws or restrictions in order to reinforce this. If I am to be elected as the next Site Director, I promise to take a different approach than what previous candidates have offered you:
- Research and medicine are of the utmost importance to our main function as a scientific institution in charge of maintaining the security and abnormal features of everything it contains. However, there have been issues that prevent our scientific institutions from fulfilling their jobs. Most of it is due to the lack of testing rates in our sites, while the other half requires our research and medicine components to invest in more intuitive ways to incline new members to join their ranks and become immersed in what our community can offer to them. I believe that our research components should take priority when it comes to recruitment.
- Civil security has been a great concern. As an employee, I feel overwhelmingly threatened whenever I see unidentified or unauthorized personnel roaming the hallways. I believe that security personnel should reserve a reasonable amount of authority when it comes to the management and handling of regular personnel, especially essential ranking members.
- Domestic internal security is more important than having to know what happens in other groups outside of our own. I believe that we are strongest when we are able to eliminate ourselves from the quarrels and dramaticism of demanding communities that would not expect the same sort of charisma or integrity from their own members.
- Personnel deserves the right to know whatever is planned for the group. Transparency has been a very big issue in my own personal opinion, as it is going to be apart of my primary goals if elected. I believe there should be more communication between the O5 Council and the Elected Site Director, and by extension, the Elected Site Director and the rest of the community. If we cut off one side from communication, then we are effectively putting ourselves at a disadvantage.
- The ability to interpret what is and isn’t morally correct also plays a pivotal role in our group. In the last few months, there have been specific occurrences of ranking members giving unorthodox or even outright illegal instructions to other members of the Foundation. It should be made clear that any sort of disobedience towards any Foundation procedure or protocol is unacceptable and should not be taken lightly. A stable group is a happy group.
As we continue to evolve, so does our image. The reason I urge that we move forward using these points is due to the notion we are the face of the genre, and we should begin holding ourselves accountable for it. I ask that you put faith into a new era of initiative and creativity, as well as peace and order. It’s time for us to move forward instead of looking back.
Speech E
Thank you for clicking on and listening to my speech, before we beginning I shall tell you my back story of how I begin with the creating this speech and running for the Elected Site Director.
Around yesterday, I did not have any interests in running for the Elected Site Director like every Level 4 personnel I was scared to fail, to fail that I will not benefit this group enough if I happened to win the election, though, a wild thought appeared! It was thought that if I were to stay in my position, it wasn’t going to benefit this group much as well so I decided to write this speech. Thank you for listening to my back story.
Now, let’s jump into real speech.
-
I noticed that some of the department High Command/Medium Command are extremely inactive and are holding the positions that could be used for the department’s greater good by someone else that is capable to do so, now, if I got the Elected Site Director position I would like to deal with them accordingly and prevent any positions holding as long as I’m able to do so.
-
Since the new Area-14 revamped has been released, I have seen a lot of riots, mostly every 5 minutes or so, I personally don’t blame the developers or D Classes or even SD and MTF personnel, I believe it’s because of the D Classes not having enough tests or exercises to participate in with, now, if I were your Site Director, I’d like to notify them regarding this and at the least try to speed things up.
-
Lastly, if you don’t know how much your suggestions will be matter to me, please let me explain. It will give me better ideas during my time as the Elected Site Director, if you think the above resolves aren’t enough to satisfy you, please message me your suggestions.
Thank you for spending your time reading my speech for the Elected Site Director, I’d spend every last minute to benefit this group and make your experiences here better. Thank you.
Lastly again,
Secure. Contain. Protect.
After you have read all the speeches, please vote for the best one at our temporary voting center.
