SCPF || October 2019 Site Director Elections

Greetings.

It is time for the community to appoint a new Elected Site Director.

Please read the speeches below written by each of the applying candidates so that you may vote for the best one. All speeches will remain anonymous until after the election ends. Speeches are presented exactly as they were provided, without any modifications.

Speech A

Salutation,

I’ve been in this Foundation for quite a while. I trust myself to be able to manage this Foundation and its system as well as other past Site Directors, and I hope that you would think so as well in the future.
If you’re ready to step in and roll with me, please do hear my promises:

  • I wish to: lessen the repetitiveness of duties that are awfully uninspiring without doubt by interacting with the department chiefs and possibly conduct additional joint duties.

  • I wish to: look further into the Class-D rise problems and SCP affected Class-Ds, as well as the unentertaining wait inside the designated containment zone. However, this is not a problem that I expect to be fixed within a short amount of time.

  • I wish to: improve the combat qualification of our combatants by stressing the issue with the department heads and potentially setting up a course of combat qualification program.

To conclude: I’d like to thank all the people who encouraged me to this point in my career. From this point onwards, I wish to do the same to everyone in this Foundation and stay side-by-side with them to the end of my journey.

Thank you.
Secure. Contain. Protect.

Speech B

Hello, wonderful people of the Foundation.

It is about that time again – the time when members of the Foundation choose the candidate that they would like to serve as the next Elected Site Director. This newly elected candidate is responsible for building a positive yet productive future for the Foundation over the next month or so. Electing a candidate to serve the Foundation by working towards creating a fruitful future for the Foundation is no easy decision, neither now nor in future elections.

Bear in mind that, with the future, comes change. Change is inevitable, and that is why it must be taken advantage of to create a rewarding future for the Foundation. A candidate who is willing to take advantage of the impending nature of change is what the Foundation deserves.

In order for you to understand what my term will consist of, I will now introduce and outline my plans as Elected Site Director:

Representation is one of the most important duties of anyone who intends to serve for a community, no matter its size or people in it. A candidate who is willing to provide as a representative for the people to change what they may dislike or believe what should or could be improved upon, is what the Foundation merits. Our community plays a significant role in forming the Foundation and how future changes take shape. As Elected Site Director, I will serve the community’s best interests by listening to the opinions of all members. If the community reasonably dislikes a certain aspect of the Foundation, then a compromise should be reached. I believe that it is imperative that the Foundation has an advocate for the community, and this is what the Foundation merits. Thus, I am willing to step forward into the position as Elected Site Director and commit myself to listen to your requests and concerns, and change the Foundation for the better.

I feel that a community should have a leader – not one who simply sets a good example – yet one who guides the community. An efficient leader ensures that the community heads in a good direction where it will prosper. I will improve the community by making sure all members feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and opinions. All personnel, regardless of their community standing or rank in the Foundation, should be treated fairly, properly, and appropriately, and I will ensure this is enforced as a leader of the community. It is paramount that all members of the Foundation have positive experiences as members of the community.

Area-14 serves as the Foundation’s primary location for departments to function and operate; it is the home of our duties. That being said, it is important that the on-site experience is enjoyable and productive. I hope to work towards expanding departmental duties and activities to establish a more fun and dynamic experience for all personnel of all departments while on Area-14.

While it is up to the people of the Foundation to elect their new Site Director, I kindly ask that you lend me a vote toward not only just winning the election, but improving the Foundation so that it will have a bright and marvelous future ahead of it.

Thank you.

Speech C

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, and Good Evening to all personnel, wherever you may be in the world and what ever time zone you may be in!

I am quite honoured myself, to be privileged enough to have the opportunity to write this speech. And better than anything, for this speech to give me the prospect of being voted for by all of you, to become the newest Elected Site Director, of one of the best foundations on the platform ROBLOX!
For a long time, I was intrigued by the SCP genre, and I know a lot of you were or are too. So to find a game that adopts all the aspects of a complex science-fiction, into a playable, and role-playable world was a dream come true. To me, this community is more than a game, but a family that I’ve committed an unimaginable amount of time to. Rising through the positions, and taking all the opportunities I’ve been given, I made the milestone of Level-4. Reaching this point in this humongous community has been a privilege to me, and I think it is my time to make a rather large difference back to the community, and beneath details the major aspects I want to cover if I were to be voted as Elected Site Director.

  • It needs to be clear, that I will never have eyes and ears everywhere, and I won’t be able to see what everyone expresses, and what everyone wants. That’s why it’s hard to list what I want to do, because in my eyes, it’s not what I want, it’s what the community wants. It’s what will make our community better, and more enjoyable. I want every member of this foundation to know that my private messages will always be open. I can assure you all that I will respond, and discuss with you every suggestion you bring up. I vouch to ensure that I keep those who suggest things updated, so that they may know how they are improving this magnificent foundation.

  • From what I know, and from what I’ve seen, a large majority of our members, including Class-Ds get bored doing the same repetitive things, or just doing nothing during periods where your tasks are unavailable because of other site events. To improve this, I’d like to start getting other departments involved in events they wouldn’t normally be included in. I don’t want to make any promises, but with enough support, anything can be possible. With what I said just before, to reduce the amount of repetitive boring tasks, there needs to be excitement! In my eyes, our site already has the ability to bring this to our members, but isn’t being fully utilised. This is something I can do, and can ensure will be discussed, and hopefully implemented.

Now obviously these are only snip-its of what I want to do, and I am prepared to take on suggestions and improve this foundation in any way I can. While I would love the opportunity to become Elected Site Director, I hope that whomever you vote for, and whomever is promoted is able to continue making this foundation amazing, and is able to improve it for all those members who have dedicated so many hours to this group.

Thank you. And as always,
Secure. Contain. Protect.

Speech D

Hello! I am glad to say that I will be running for Elected Site Director. Let’s start by getting straight into the topics I would want to talk about.

:black_circle: Better cooperation between lower ranked and higher ranked personnel.

I think it is extremely important for those in-charge of said departments to hear what their members have to say about the ideas they bring to the table. Suggestions or critique should always be welcome and never be ignored blatantly.

:black_circle: Events for our community.

A foundation like ours should have more relaxing and fun events to do. I feel like game nights for the community are not hosted all that often and I would want to make a change to that.

:black_circle: Sped up process for departmental applications.

Because our foundation is so big, departmental applications can range from about 24 hours to 48 hours. I would want to adjust that by decreasing the amount of time you would have to wait for your application to be either accepted or denied.

:black_circle: Final word. :black_circle:

For my final word, I will hereby promise not to purposely ignore any of your questions or concerns.

Thank you for considering to read my speech, have a good day!

Speech E

Greetings, SCP Foundation members.

As you can see, I am a new candidate for much renowned place of Elected Site Director. Being a Elected Site Director is probably one of the of the most important -but at the same time most difficult- rank in this Foundation. A Site Director is supposed to handle the majority of the Foundation’s problems, so now I will be explaining some of them, and the consecutive solution to solve them.

Class-Ds privileges: Currently, the Class-D personnel is only engaged for testing purposes. I was thinking, why don’t give them something else to do, a collection of ‘entertainment equipment’ for the Class-D personnel. Usually called ‘minigames’. Instead of having an awful ending, wouldn’t it be fantastic to play a minigame with your friends?

Organization of on-site events: As we all are aware of, Area-14 has a internal system, managed by the Eve bot. Ever heard of a Eve riot? That instant when the entirety of the Class-D team was given a Glock. I wonder, why don’t do the same, but with a containment breach, for example? Here’s what was the gist of the speech.

More duties: I have noticed that sometimes Area-14 undergoes a lack of players. Perhaps, more duties should be given to each Department. In particular, the Mobile Task Forces, the Security Department, along with the Medical Department and the Scientific Department, would have more tasks / privileges within Area-14. Allowing the above citated departments to have these permissions, is a first step to a great activity and stability.

Solve the issues between certain departments: There has always been some troubles between, in general, every department that can be considered ‘main’. Sometimes simple misunderstanding occurs, Either ends peacefully, either tragically. All of this departmental issues, is going to be halted. Introducing more features for each departments would help the wellbeing of said departments.

In conclusion, I want to thank you in advance, if you are willing to vote this speech. A Site Director must have a great common sense, a huge responsibility in any problem that happens over time, but above all, have the ability to understand any problem ahead. All of the above, I think it does for me. If nothing else is worth mentioning, I thank those who will read this speech until the end. Have everyone a good continuation. See you soon!

Speech F

Greetings,

I am honoured to introduce myself as one of the upcoming candidates for the Site Director elections, I have chosen to partake in these elections because I feel that I have a moral obligation to not just myself, but for our community to develop this Foundation far beyond any predicted limits, and by any means necessary; of course that its definitely a vow that each candidate should make today and neither of us should feel entitled for such a position, however, I will show you how I am different in contrast to other candidates that’ll make me the most suitable choice for our community.

I’d like to begin by talking about the quality of persistence, I am sure that some of you have had a great aspiration to achieve something unprecedented, but perhaps you have swayed away from it when faced with great opposition or difficulty. Persistence is a difficult quality to possess that can only develop over time as you become more accustomed to facing the everyday opposition, but I promise you when I say this, that it is a definitive backbone to have in order to become a better version of yourself as to be then capable of achieving wonderful things, which above all else, qualifies as an essential trait to acquire for a position of leadership.

I believe that ever since I have joined this Foundation, the numerous challenges and oppositions that I have ever faced to advance within this Foundation up until now, I have learnt persistence from it, and with it, the single ultimate aspiration to lead and support this Foundation in the most meaningful manner; because I truly believed that I have the capability to do so and that it can only be utilised properly at the most appropriate opportunity.

If I were to be elected for this terms Site Director elections, I will devote myself to develop this Foundation in favour of our community, that I will use every resource at my disposal to ensure that all aspects are functioning optimally and as intended;

  • I will be analysing our infrastructure of how information is entrusted so that departments are more efficiently informed and that amendments made in one department have a more streamlined reflectiveness to others as to ensure Foundation-wide stability.

  • That I will advocate for consistent transparency between the high command and their departmental members so that the community has the final verdict to ensure that they are satisfied above all else, wherever feasible.

  • To allow better opportunities for coordination between departments such as the Medical and Scientific in order to enable the possibility of joint-departmental operations, which can stimulate activity by compensating for repetitive duties that have been an underlying issue for a prolonged period of time.

These are just the few that I have on my planned agenda, but of course, as the community progresses with constantly differing demands and priorities, I am more than capable of adapting accordingly.

I hope that whomever you choose for this term’s Site Director elections, that your candidate has that capability to constantly persist for the benefit of this community against all odds because, after all, we lead and do what we do because of you, because you are our Foundation.

Thank you for considering me.

After you have read all the speeches, please vote for the best one at our temporary voting center.
