Script Editor "Find" window jumps to the most recently found text when closed

This is in relation to the Script Editor “Find” window (as seen below):

The bug is a little hard to describe, but essentially, if you use the “Find” window to find text within the script, then scroll away from that selected text so it is off your screen, upon closing the “Find” window, your script window will unexpectedly jump to make sure the previously selected item is now in your view.

Video example:

This is not that big of a bug, but is really hearting my QOL and workflow so a fix would be appreciated.

I wasn’t sure if i should create a whole new bug report, or just add to this one. When using find all with two studio windows open, the find is disabled in one of the windows when you switch to another and do a find all. This happened when i was looking for the same thing in the same script, but in 2 different experiences (studio windows) open. Easy to repro

Hi, @SneezyBadger,

Thank you for the message, Ideally we would like you to submit a separate report, especially since the original report was about the Script Editor Embedded Find / Replace.

Thank you!

Hi @Vmena

A fix for this is in the code and should release in the next couple of weeks.

Hi @Vmena,

This should be out now, please verify.

Hey, the change caused markers to remain even though the window is closed.

Thank you for checking this, I’ll take another look.

It’s fixed, can’t reproduce the issue anymore

I turned off my fix for the time being, so the code should still be jumping, since I was able to repro the markers appearing after closing the Find window.

So I’ll get back to this one and get rid of the markers.
