Script Editor unexpectedly deletes the closing bracket/quote when deleting the opening one

Reproduction steps

  1. Have these options disabled:
    image
  2. Make a pair of brackets/quotes directly next to each other
  3. Delete the opening bracket/quote only, using Backspace

Expected behaviour
With these options disabled, I expect the Script Editor to never insert or remove any brackets or quotes.

Current behaviour
Script Editor does not insert any brackets or quotes automatically as expected, however it does remove the closing bracket/quote when it’s directly next to an opening bracket/quote that gets removed with Backspace.

This issue should now be fixed. We’ve added a new setting to the Script Editor called “Auto Delete Closing Brackets and Quotes”. If you turn this setting OFF then you should get the expected behavior.

Let us know if you have any issues. Thanks for the bug report!
