Script not loading properly while coding causing issues with rest of studio.

In a Studio with Live Collaborators, whether the collaborators are in the instance or not, attempting to script in scripts with large line counts causes the script to not load fast enough. This stops me from coding when Live Scripting is enabled as it detects a bad connection (despite having a good internet connection to everything else) but not when Draft Mode is enabled. But with both Live Scripting and Draft Mode, when it still cannot load fast enough, I cannot load the Workspace or do anything with any other menu outside of the scripts. This issue has been happening to me for the past year and a half and I cannot seem to find a fix no matter what I look up or attempt. Sometimes this issue occurs for only a few seconds, but can also be permanent unless I restart studio, which tends to make me lose progress.

Expected behavior

I expect to be able to script freely without issues stopping me every few words I type and be able to load the Workspace fine.

Hello - thank you for the bug report. A couple of questions:

  1. How large is the script you’re trying to edit? (in bytes?)
  2. Do you observe any connection issues with other large replication operations (like inserting a large model from the toolbox, for example?)
  3. While the editor is read-only, are you able to observe any other changes replicating from the server?

The editor should only mark itself read-only after 30 seconds without communication from the server.

  1. about 14k lines. 1,818,000 Bytes (1,818KB)
  2. I don’t have connection issues with anything but this
  3. When the editor is read-only, I cannot even exit the script menu and it wont let me view the Workspace.
