Scripter Tries Building

I am a scripter not a builder really, i can make level designs but not make the assets, so today i decided i would like to make a simple room. The room was made is around 20mins, its not the best but i make little maps and am very new to the building scene.

I would also love to see your wacky or interesting designs if possible

Have a great day, MysticOrangeLeaf (PolyDev)

It’s defitinely better then how I started out, so you have my approval. I’m not sure about the extruded white part though, but that’s just me.

okay, i personally really liked the extended bit…But thanks for the feedback next time i wont add it or see if others like it or not i dont really know

Hey man, a more dignified start than mine!

This looks really cool.

Here’s some tools that make life a little more bearable :

Brush Tool : A tool that allows you to paint on terrain multiple assets of your choosing, Often used to make forests or scenes with lots of randomised objects quickly, Link to plugin : Brushtool 2.1 - Roblox

Archimedes : A plugin that lets you make angles with any mesh or part, Often used to make arches, Comes in very usefull. Link : Archimedes (v3.1.9) - Roblox

Tips :

Learn blender if possible, It will really help you in the long run, Though if you dont intend to go too deep into the building scene its entirely possible to just stick to studio parts.

Textures can do a lot to a build! Depending on what art style you are going for.

Adding a ROBLOX character of any kind is suggested when making builds, it will help you scale everything to proper size, I.e. Doors, Window heights etc.

And in general just making small builds will massively help you learn, a lot like the way you would write small projects to better understand what your learning in scripting.

But yeah, Amazing build dude : D

Haha I know how you feel. I mostly program but I’ve been forced to build since my builder wont respond to any of my messages I send him. And I also have to model tools on my own so I guess I have to go and learn blender. Practically I have to everything. Otherwise your build looks cool! I like that shade of yellow.

Haha why are the walls sticking out and why are the handles gigantic. The furniture placement is interesting, you could’ve added some small things that would’ve made this build better. Like a bed stand legs, something to hold the shelf up like a simple rotated part, real handles haha.
