What do I want to achieve?
I want to make guns for my upcoming game but I am new to scripting.
What solutions have I tried so far?
I have search YouTube for different tutorials but none of them really works.
If possible please give me a script of how to make guns or link a video about it.

use raycasting, of course! also you can’t just ‘ask for scripts’ in scripting’ support. include scripts you’ve already tried, and bugs you’ve come across.
I have tried many but I delete them when they don’t work.

They just don’t give damage. I tried with NPCs and real players.
Should I try taking free models and editing them?
Can you show the script? You’re probably not doing it right.

Probably not as most freemodel guns don’t even work. They don’t support FE or R15. I suggest editing roblox’s gun kit.
