i am like to learn lua but i have no idea way the good way is to learn this scripting language

I recommend watching YouTube tutorials and reading Roblox’s api.

I would recommend read the Roblox’s documentation, and then start from the basics practicing some stuff. You can also try to understand other scripts and (as like Lexi said) watch Youtube tutorials.

There isn’t always an exact way people learn Programming Languages, but I’ll name a few that people used:

  1. Documentation

Typically Programming Languages contain a Set of Documentation to look at for you to understand, Sometimes the Information conveyed is really Vague, but most of the time they usually tell you Key Important Details of stuff, and how they are used to manipulate stuff.

It isnt really that easy to get into, and may seem overwhelming, but they may contain tutorials for Beginners!

The Documentation I Recommend Looking into is Lua, and Luau.

Lua is the Language Roblox uses, It is technically its own Language Called “Luau”, but Luau is just a Modified version of Lua 5.1, which Released in 2006, like Roblox.

  1. Another Language

If you have learned another language in the past (maybe Python), you can probably take some of that knowledge and Apply it to another Language, It may give you some Knowledge on some things, But keep in mind that a Different Language wont always have the exact same thing as another, there might be some differences in how things work, or how they function (aka Syntax, or Process to complete something), which is something you would need to learn about.

  1. Tutorials

There are Typically Tutorials out there that will explain things easier when you use them, There are many Places you can look at that will Provide you some insight on stuff, Like these:

  1. YouTube is a common place for People to showcase Tutorials

  2. #resources:community-tutorials Is a Place where people show you how to do specific things

  3. Documentation (stated already)

  1. People’s Creations

People from anywhere make cool things, and publish them on the Toolbox for people to use, If you wanted to learn how something worked, you can look at the code, and figure out what each thing does, Its a Common Method many Programmers did when learning how to code on Roblox.

first is not: another language is: programming “language”…
if you know a language like python what do you do in roblox?
learning in a specific way collapses your learning process, the best way is to first go with simple things without a simple vision and as you progress you level up or otherwise you will remain the same as cairo
