Every time that I click on a (script, local script, module) it immediately opens when it should in fact open after double-clicking.
This started happening to me when I enabled “Script Editor Beta Features”. I love the colored “local, self, function &, etc” from the feature, but just not this. I’m just wondering if it’s possible to only disable the immediate open-script action? (I’m unable to find it in the settings)
It’s part of a preview feature, so you don’t have to have several script tabs open at once when just scrolling (You can only have one preview tab open at once).
Though, I do agree that this seems to come with more negative impacts than benefits.
If I want to delete a script on a project with team create enabled, I have to select the script, close the editor and then delete it!
It would be nice to see this feature as optional, because I guarantee some people will find it useful. Just not for me, at least.
What Roblox added was a way to open script tabs temporary via a single click. Double clicking still uses the old behavior.
To disable this go to Studio Settings > Script Editor > Enable Temporary Script Tabs (Obviously you want to uncheck this box) It’s the last setting in the Script Editor section btw.
Yes, this feature is optional. It’s just enabled by default. (@0_salcret here you go)
