Currently in Studio, the central 3D view window is capturing all scrolling input all the time, even if the mouse isn’t focused on the 3D view. This is very annoying as it means when I try to scroll the Explorer or scroll any scrolling frame in any plugin, the 3D view zooms in or out on its own.
Expected behavior
I would expect the 3D view to only zoom when I scroll the mouse wheel while the mouse cursor is inside the 3D view and not focusing on any other UI like the Explorer or Plugin Widgets.
I tried to reproduce this issue and couldn’t. My Explorer and plugins scroll independently. Would you mind sharing a video about this to help us reproduce? Also, if you don’t mind sharing your Studio logs in a private message?
It only happens in this case for me too. I found that just going to Model and pressing the Model button to import local files does not reproduce the issue, it is only when dragging the model into Studio does the issue occur.
Hi, here’s a video of me reproducing the issue in a new studio file:
Could you reproduce the steps in the video? I think the issue involves adding any .rbxl file (or maybe just any file) into Studio via the file explorer, as @maksP666altfull2 describes.
I found this issue when trying to help someone in #help-and-feedback:scripting-support. I assume the contents of the .rbxl file don’t matter -just that it’s a file in and of itself, but here’s the file nonetheless: gattling gun.rbxm (7.0 KB)
Another reproduction step: When utilizing the scroll wheel when dragging something on the explorer. This is the one I am encountering most. Video shown below:
Me and a friend have been experiencing this too as of recently as of the latest update. It’ll just start after doing a bit of work and we’ve got no clue or fix other than to restart Studio.
