Search and discovery algorithm is completely broken

I recently released a game and it used to show up when searched by its full name, however, it is now no longer appearing. This has resulted in a decrease in the player count. It is a surprising turn of events as the game remains at a decent player count, yet does not show up in search results. I am in need of assistance to understand what has caused this issue and how to resolve it.

I’d check your acquisition tab and see if when the drop occurred and try to assess what changed, whether it was a title change or an update of some sort? As well as doing research on what the search term is showing.

There are a lot of games with the premises of Sword Fight so check who your competitors are and see if there starting to drown you out. Something that Obby owners do is place a lot of tags in there description with there title and related words to help the search and discovery pickup and categorize your game.

Also! Look at revenue, I’m pretty sure that revenue is built into there algo some sort of way so if your revenue dropped around the same time as your discovery I could see that as causing some sort of drop.

Experiencing something similar, my game “pet fortress” would always be the number one result when searching for “pet fortress”. Now it’s not even showing for it’s actual title, despite it’s ranking for the individual keyword “fortress” having improved. It just shows unrelated games now.
