Hey everyone,
I’m currently looking to expand the game genre of knife games and take it to new heights. As a result, I’ll be needing some new team members. I’m mostly looking for builders, though I have a programmer & animator spot open. All pay is in % at the moment (and 100% negotiable), but this may change in the future.
What is Seek2Survive?
Seek2Survive is a game based around hide & seek, but with knifes, and yes, only knifes.
At minimum they’re 3 players, 2 hiders & 1 seeker. The seeker has to find the hiders, if the seeker manages to kill one of the hiders, the last one steps in & receives a knife. The job of the last hider is to kill the seeker in attempt to win for his/her’s team and get the BIG VICTORY ROYALE
… just kidding this isn’t a battle royale game.
If the last hider is taken out by the seeker though, the seeker wins the game and brings home the moolah ($$$), which is just XP & points.
What can the XP & Points get you?
XP
XP gets you new levels, the more XP you get the higher level you’ll have, it’s actually not that hard to gain XP atm but adjustments will be made.
Points
Points can get you cases, in these cases will be knife textures. You can as-well buy effects for your knifes.
What stage of development are we currently at?
Well, we’re what I’d consider ALPHA. We need some maps, a lobby, animations and graphic arts. Once that is done, we should be ready to release for pre beta.
What makes us different than our competitors?
Over time we plan on adding a multitude of things differentiating us from our competitors, one idea I’ve had (and thought over, numerous times and received feedback from testers) is that we could have special abilities. Now I won’t go into too much detail, but the seeker could buy abilities and the hiders could as-well.
Programmers job:
You will be required to work on one or more of the following:
-Effects & abilities for the hiders/seekers
-Scripting future updates. (alongside me)
-and whatever else we need.
There will be other things to do besides the three listed, but they are the most representative of the work required for this project, we’re trying to keep this as short as possible.
Builders job:
You will be required to work on one or more of the following:
- Maps (new maps every season)
- Lobby (new lobby every season)
- and whatever else we need.
Animators job:
You will be required to work on one or more of the following:
- Animate knifes
- Animate NPC’s around maps
- Animate NPC’s around lobby
- and whatever else we need.
What are seasons?
Well, just like in the real world we’ll have seasons in the game. Spring, summer, fall, winter, etc.
I plan on every season having different maps, and a different lobby. This is to freshen up the game and bring creativity to it a bit more.
Payment
Payment will be given out via percentage of what the game makes from our game, merch we sell for our players and however else we make income. Though, in the near future I plan on adding on direct payment if applicable, this will decrease how much % you get.
Programmer - 20-45%
Builder (x2) - 20-30%
