Seeking advice on making more smoother animations!

Hey everyone, I just have a quick question.

So, I’ve been doing animating for a while now but I still can’t get over this hurdle, where my animations feel… “stiff” if that makes sense. Here’s an example of the most recent work I’ve done, my M4 reload animation.

What I’m trying to replicate is a reload animation like this:

Do you guys, the animation community, have any tips on how to improve the more fluid, human-like aspect of animations in this category? Any and all feedback appreciated! Thanks,

My first suggestion would be to use plugins such as Moon Animator. It is the best tool if you want to animate in Roblox. Secondly, the animations you are trying to make are a bit more advanced, as they use Parameters. For now, I suggest you make simple animations such as walk cycles, or simple emotes. Then, you can get into the much more advanced stuff.

But most of all, never give up! Keep practicing, and you will be an outstanding animator.

Also, if you are using moon animator, then to achieve movements like that you will need to use the ‘Back’ and what looks a bit like ‘Circ’ parameters.

Nice suggestion, but I think blender is better than moon animator. Because your animation can be easily smoother while moon animator can be a little or much harder to do smooth animation.

True. But with the right easing values and parameters, smooth animations can be achieved! But, at the end of the day, it all depends on how good the animators are themselves. Even blender is a very hard to use yet professional tool, and so is Moon Animator. Again, it depends on the skill level of the animator himself. But yes, blender does seem to make smoother animations. It’s on my mind to start learning it! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
