Selecting parts causes CPU to spike

PC Info: Windows 10, 22H2
Date First Experienced: around 8/7/2024
Date Last Experienced: 8/14/2024

Reproduction Steps:

  • Open Studio
  • Select any part


Expected behavior: No lag spike or CPU spike when selecting any part
Actual behavior: Lag spikes and CPU spikes when selecting a part

I’ve also opened studio on different accounts in the same place and this issue still occurs, I’ve also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Studio multiple times. Maybe it’s a setting I have enabled?

This seems serious.
But we need some more information. If you changed user it means that cloud plugins are different, but you may have some local plugins. Usually they live in AppData\Local\Roblox\Plugins.
Another very helpful thing would be to attach a screenshot of paused microprofiler. You can explore microprofiler by pressing Ctrl P (or ⌘P), then select offending frame and explore it. Most interesting is the Main/Render row.
But by far the most useful data would be just a dump of microprofiler here are instructions how to get it (menu is really tiny in top left of the profiler)
