Selection performance is poor

I have a 400,000 part level I’m trying to cut a small model out of and the selection performance of Studio is driving me insane.

I can’t tell what it is spending all of it’s time doing. Is it updating the Explorer pane incrementally? Is selection actually expensive? It is generating the geometry for a million selection boxes (if so can those be instanced on the GPU?)

It’s doesn’t seem like selection moves enough data around that it should be slow.

Finally got it selected and this happened to me on “copy”.

Is Roblox Studio 32 bit?

I’m using 3.4GB

On Windows yes Studio is 32 bit. On Mac it’s 64 bit. 64 bit studio for Windows is high priority.

How about 64 bit Roblox in general? Although there’s prob a sizable chunk of the lower end playerbase running 32 bit.

Why are selection boxes still a thing. They lag when selecting tons of parts and get in the way of moving small parts precisely such as weapon models. Definitely need to make a feature request for the ability to turn them off after all these years of being forced to use them in studio.
