I don’t really want to create games on my current account because it’s just too cluttered in my account. I also get too distracted on that account when creating.
I’ve been wondering if it seems right to create a separate account for the sole purpose of developing games. I feel it’s best when it’s separate because as I mentioned it’s just a clutter and a big distraction.
(edit: I don’t want it to look weird because it’s a newer account. I feel that it’ll look almost like a scam-ish account.)
I think it is alright to make separate account. What if you’ve done something bad on the main account? It could affect the future of the games you created and also your account. That’s why I create this account, an account with clean record. It can look like a scam-ish account, but that doesn’t matter. Looks don’t matter, it’s all about your behavior.
I don’t understand what you mean by having a “cluttered account?” What makes it cluttered? I would suggest making a development group and make your main account as owner of the group. Then you could develop on a separate account so it wouldn’t seem as “cluttered.”
There are too many random games and group on my profile. And, I’ve also gotten a few warnings from Roblox, not too many, but I worry that it can affect my future with cashing out via DevEx.
edit: The majority of the warnings I’ve received are false warnings. I don’t want a false warning to prevent me from using DevEx.
I’m not sure Roblox would like you creating another account so you could DevEx… As for the games you could just do group games which show up in a different tab and you could also just leave the groups you are not interested in to clean up your profile.
Let’s say I do use a separate account for developing, roll credits would it be worth it to get Premium on that account? Because the marketplace fee is 30% regardless and I won’t be using it for trading. I’m not sure about selling shirts though.
Keeping another account seems useless to me. With one account you get to keep your non-tradeable items, assets like decals, models, modules and more as well as the memories.
Having a second account can also get tricky for developing games. I’m not clear with the new DevEx rules but it might not be allowed.
Though as @EquivocalCrow said, it ultimately doesn’t matter at all.
