There’s a Studio option called “Show Details” for Attachments:
With the setting enabled, Attachment direction is shown when selected, and Attachments are displayed even when not selected. With the setting disabled, Attachments are not displayed when not selected, and even when selected, Attachment direction is not shown.
With ‘Show Details’ disabled:
(Left not selected; Right selected)
With ‘Show Details’ enabled:
(Left not selected; Right selected)
I would like Attachment direction to always be shown when selected, but I would like for Attachments to not show up in the world when not selected. Attachment.Visible does not help because when Show Details is enabled, Attachments with Visible=false still show up.
#Proposed changes:
- Attachment direction always shown when selected regardless of whether Show Details is enabled or not
or
- Separate Attachment direction and Attachment visibility when Show Details is enabled into two separate settings
#Use cases:
-
I’m using lots of constraints throughout my place, so enabling Attachment visibility when not selected would add tons of extra noise, but I still need to see Attachment direction for some constraints like hinges
-
I’m working with a ton of constraints in a small space (for instance, a character head with an attachment point for hair, helmets, visors, etc all in close proximity) so enabling Attachment visibility would make it impossible to see the Attachment I’m working on, but I need to see Attachment direction to make sure the Attachment is oriented correctly
