So there was somewhat of a devforum overhaul, but some changes, while making organizational sense, don’t really make practical sense. Take the Forum Feedback category, for instance.
Forum feedback still contains threads from before the merge that literally make no sense in the Platform Feedback category. Most, like “Introduction Thread for New Members,” are completely off-topic. People are also asking forum-related questions which makes no sense for a category called “Platform Feedback.” And while suggestions relating to the forums are technically “Platform Feedback,” I really dislike having forum requests mixed in with actual engine and web requests. It just doesn’t make sense— the forums are completely different from the rest of the Roblox platform, and I’m sure a completely different group of people work on them than those who work on engine and web features. Why should either group have to sift through threads that don’t pertain to their area?
I think all the forum stuff needs its own place and other requests and feedback should stay in Platform Feedback. Can anything be done about this?
As far as the naming goes, yeah it’s probably not the most appropriate. The category itself is sort of a dump for anything related to the forums - discussion, feature requests and bug reports. Separating threads into subcategories would be a great QoL feature for organising this category.
Forum Feedback is more appropriate than its former name though, Inception. The name was supposedly an obscure reference and isn’t quite clear what it’s for initially. It was also being wrongly used in the past but that’s a non-concern given several other categories experience this problem.
Not at all. I just want it to be removed from the Platform Feedback section.

Is it even meant for forum-related discussion anymore or just feedback? I think we still need a place for forum discussion, but that shouldn’t be in Platform Feedback. And yeah it’d be ideal if forum feature requests were there too.
Yeah it is, but the amount of actual discussion threads about the forums themselves is fairly uncommon since this is mostly used as an output for forum feature requests and help navigating. Introduction threads, discussion about the forums (e.g. Quenty’s thread regarding the state of the forum) and so on are considered discussion threads.
That’s mainly why I say that if Forum Feedback does get separated, it would be helpful to include subcategories to distinguish different parts of forum discussion from each other rather than amass them all in one location, which was the case before as well.
