When playing all ROBLOX games the Mac CPU and GPU will get up to temperatures of around 65 degrees celsius and causes the macs fans to spin to the max RPM. All ROBLOX games will make the temperature at least 45-58 degrees, whilst some more intense/more parts can get real high
This is with quality set on 3/4 I think
iMac specs;
I had to crop 2 parts are because I had a gadget that shows my ip and one that shows my emergency phone number
Pretty much having the same “problem” on my mac, although I am not too concerned about it. Sure, my computer gets heated up and the fans are whirring, but I don’t really see a way to fix it
I noticed this too! I bought a mac like one month ago and when I’m just on the couch playing it I noticed it got extremely hot, which actually scared me a little bit, as it was almost too hot to lift up the laptop itself…

(So, roblox player works for you again?)
It works on and off…but yeah seems to work ok now for the past 2 weeks
Roblox is poorly optimised for many computers, that’s why it eats your iOS/Laptop battery faster than other AAA games for device.
I think roblox should focus on optimizing their software to be more efficient and not use up all your CPU.

U wot, roblox is really optimised for windows, but they have only recently started working on iOS/mac systems.

it is optimized?
Yes, I know several people with bad computers with what they can’t really play any games, but roblox runs real well for them. I’ve only seen one computer that couldn’t lift roblox, but it was like ancient laptop that had less than 2GHz processor and <1 GB RAM.

And the GPU if you have one, it eats that to buggery
Yeah, I’ve almost burned myself many times while playing ROBLOX on my Mac. It eats up 90% of my CPU like it’s nothing, even though I can run games like TF2 and Borderlands without worrying about too much slowdown or heat.
I don’t understand why this is a ROBLOX specific problem.
Any game with good programmers behind it is going to try to drive your GPU duty cycle to 100%.
Any other mac application/game will not make the iMac run insanely hot at 70 degrees, or burn your lap if you have a macbook
ROBLOX is VERY poorly optimized for Mac, especially 10.9.2
I’m tired of people arguing on this forum about which OS Is better. MacOSX and Windows work both perfectly fine (along with Linux), now let that be the end and get back on topic you could of just thanked him Instead of making another post
