Serious Issues with Roblox Moderation and Appeal Process

Hello everyone,

(before anything else, yes I do understand the forum moderators cannot help me with anything related, but this issue needs to be seriously addressed)

I wanted to share my experience regarding a recent and deeply frustrating issue with Roblox moderation. My account was permanently banned for unknown and unjustified reasons, resulting in the loss of all my work, assets, and investments on the platform.

I’ve reached out to Roblox Support multiple times, providing every bit of information I could, yet the responses I received were either automated or dismissive, making me feel like my tickets were never properly reviewed by an actual person. Despite my efforts to follow the Terms of Service and contribute positively to the platform, I’ve been treated unfairly — as if I had done something wrong when I haven’t.

It’s been weeks but there’s only been silence, I’m running out of time and I have no more hopes.

Over the years, I’ve invested a considerable amount of time, effort, and Robux into my creations and collaborations within the Roblox community. Unfortunately, a faulty and inconsistent moderation system has made that dedication meaningless. Roblox seems hesitant to address long-standing vulnerabilities and flaws that continue to impact both developers and players. Systems like Sentinel (AI moderation) and the newer voice chat enforcement tools often fail to distinguish between actual misconduct and false positives, punishing innocent users instead.

After nearly a month of appeals within the allowed 30-day window, it’s clear that the process feels like a gamble — one where the outcome depends more on luck than fairness. I’ve seen countless talented developers face the same issue, losing access to their accounts and creations without proper explanation. This lack of transparency and accountability has made it increasingly difficult to trust the platform.

I tried recovering my main account but all my tickets were quickly decided to them I imagine it was best to leave me in the dark with no explanation or responses whatsoever.

Another time where I submitted a ticket asking them multiple times for why was I terminated and attempting to forward it to a human agent yet with no response and only automated replys (each ticket instantly refused within the same day with the same automated responses)

While Roblox has given me many great experiences and memories within its community, I’ve come to realize that my future as a developer lies elsewhere. Platforms like Steam, which provides a more responsive support system, or Godot, an open-source engine that—though not perfect—offers creative freedom and transparency, seem like far better environments to build my future projects.

In addition to these issues, I’m growing increasingly worried about privacy and data practices on Roblox. With the growing reliance on systems like Sentinel, automated moderation, and voice chat monitoring alongside the recent ban wave, it’s unclear how much user data is being collected and how responsibly it’s being handled.

If Roblox continues prioritizing automation and corporate control over trust, communication, and privacy, I fear the situation will only worsen. What was once a creative platform for everyone is slowly turning into a restrictive environment driven by negligence and opaque systems.

It’s truly disappointing to leave behind a platform I once dedicated a large part of my life to. But at this point, I no longer feel confident investing in a system that mistreats its own creators and ignores their voices.

Welcome to the club, brother. So far, Roblox has only given us silence. It’s a shame that no one can review and reverse this. Still, we have to try to raise our voices more — persistence and pressure are the only way…

Thank you — and I agree with your message. It’s important that issues like this are brought up openly and respectfully.

If you’re going to invest your time, creativity, and resources into a platform, make sure you’re not fully dependent on just one. Diversifying where you build and create is essential these days.

One day at a time — hopefully our voices will be heard and taken seriously.

“Powering imagination” — just make sure it’s corporate-approved imagination.

I just want to reply to let you know you definitely don’t stand alone during this.
As someone who’s been on the platform since 2009, I have always heard people mention how bad moderation is throughout the years. I simply thought well as long as you don’t break any rules you will be fine, but it doesn’t seem like the case anymore.
you can get banned by AI moderation causing you to essentially lose everything with no real review over the situation.
