[Serious] Taps are inaccurate on Android

Device(s): Nexus 6P, HTC One M9
OS: 6.0.1, 5.?.? (Don’t know exact version for the M9)

Issue: When you tap a GUI element, it seems to register your tap offset’d to the left. It offsets it to roughly the size of the black navigation bar which might be what’s causing the issue. So for example if if I tap the right half of the Jump button, nothing happens. If I tap the left half, it works. If I tap slightly off the jump button to the left, it still jumps. This is a very serious bug because it really kills the UX especially when certain buttons are close to eachother.

Can confirm I have been getting these sorts of reports from some of my players as well.

I’m having this problem with my game as well. It’s pretty much impossible to play because the main UI for the game is fairly small and you can barely tap the buttons. Takes multiple attempts to do anything.

Can confirm that it happens on my Nexus 6P 6.0.1 as well.
I feel like it has to do with the phone’s onscreen navigation buttons

I’ve experienced this before on my 6P. Makes games even more frustrating to play on mobile. As you said, tapping to the left of a button works (just about)

I’ve also noticed that this only seems to happen in games with a smaller jump button.
Games with the old button don’t have the problem. When I did some testing, Retail Tycoon had a larger jump button than most other games which had a tiny one for some reason. It was in the places with the tiny jump button that this problem was prevalent.

I’m running Nougat 7.0 on my 6P

did this just start happening for everyone? Or has this gone on for at least a few days?

I first experienced this a few weeks ago whilst testing a game. I don’t play on mobile too often, so I’m not sure exactly how long ago this started.

For a while I believe
