Server is Kicking my Client Every time I Join a Game

  • I received and started using my new laptop on Wednesday. I’ve been working on and testing my game as usual. The past two days have been terrible. At first I thought this was a bug on my game but it turns out it occurs everytime I join any game. Upon joining everything functions as normal. About 30 seconds in i’m unable to chat or reset. None of the functionality that requires communication with the server works. I receive signals from the server like chat messages and my client update appropriately, it’s just not accepting what my client sends back I assume. I think my client is being flagged for some reason? About 1 - 2 minutes into this the server kicks me from the game and asks me to try another game. The cycle repeats when I do.

  • This bug happens everytime I join a Roblox game, any game. All I do is join the game. What info can I give to help reproduce?

  • This bug happens on all games.

  • The error: Screenshot by Lightshot - there’s nothing unusual in the debug log.

  • This bug started happening on Friday the 8th

  • My assumption is that the client is getting flagged by the server for some reason. Here are the steps i’ve taken to fix the issue:
    I’ve,
    Reinstalled Roblox
    Reset Studio settings to default
    Turned off the firewall
    Tested on various games with the exact same result.
    I’m unable to test my own game and it’s becoming very painful with the time constant I’m on right now. I will provide any information needed to get this taken care of ASAP.

My first new computer would constantly disconnect my client. I just updated my computer and restarted my router to fix it.

Not sure that’ll help.you out though.

I’m not exactly sure what caused this issue and certainly not sure why it stopped but everything is good now :thinking:

Any solutions to this? A lot of my players have been getting the same error seconds after joining in one of my ship games since October. I personally don’t get it on my PC, but on a laptop it happened very frequently. I can also confirm that it doesn’t depend on the account you’re using.

Mine seemed to stop without reason. I’m pretty sure it was something the servers did not like about the clients requests that caused the flags.
