Server said they created an auto recovery, and afterwards just proceeded to kick me- Now half of the progress is gone, what can I do?

Doesn’t save. servers down. that’s all.
Annoying but just save your place as a file right now. Roblox is one of the most unreliable places when it comes to their servers.

I tried to save numerous times. I just decided to wait after multiple failed attempts. Suddenly I got kicked and now I don’t find a way, to retrieve the lost progress back.

yeah you can’t unless you have a file of it. Nobody is saving a game anytime soon.

Are you sure you have checked all of your autosave files / auto recoveries on your device? You can check the folder by going to FILE > ADVANCED > OPEN AUTOSAVES.
Check the file dates for today and see if there is actually one from then.
Apart from that, currently servers i think are down since my game’s aren’t publishing, however my game did save its autosave i believe, during this time.

in roblox studio go to FILE > ADVANCED > OPEN AUTO SAVES

Had my Studio go in and out of the “live script editing session disabled, editor will be enabled after Studio has stabilized” thingy to the point it was unusable just a few minutes ago. It reconnected, causing me to lose some minor work. Also saving keeps failing so I just saved my game as a file for now.

if there is no auto save for your game then im not sure what to suggest, i would recommend from now on with all your new projects to create a backup save file on your device and save your game to that file whenever you publish your game or save your game to roblox.

likely linked to the server’s being down right now, no one is able to save their work to ROBLOX currently. So that’s highly linked to it.

But other than your guys helpful suggestions. There is no other way, I can get the data back. Unless perhaps I get in contact with an Roblox Worker?

uh no your progress is long gone bro sorry, these data losses are always annoying and unmotivating. you were working in Roblox Studio, and without saving any of that progress, the data is all in the exe file, when you exit, it is cleared.

There is one possibility but its unlikely. Try opening the Roblox Studio app but not opening directly into your game, sometimes it pops up with autosaves found and then you get the option to open them, ignore the message or delete the save. Try seeing if that pops up and if it does open the file. It said it auto recovered your work but I’ve had mine say that many times but not make a new save file for my game in my autosave folder. So try that, good luck. Not sure if it will work because ive never tried it myself but hope for the best.
