The approximate server memory at the time of the crash is around 8200-8400mb, which if using the lower end of the player count i described, would put the maximum server memory limit at 6400 + (100mb * 25) = 8900mb, well below the server memory limit.
Despite this however, the server crashes nevertheless. Servers that did not crash initially continue to run without issue at the maximum server limit for the game of 60 players at just above 10000mb
I played Aeronautica yesterday, and when I joined a new server, it flooded with new players. Shortly after, the server crashed. I think the mass joining of players could’ve contributed to that.
I thought so too, until I strict limited server sizes to start off at 20 and only increase by 5 ever so after.
Despite this, it didn’t matter whether the server filled up in 5 minutes or an hour, it still crashed when exceeding some predetermined player count regardless of mass joining or not
@Hyperant, could you confirm you’re still seeing this problem?
A few other games experienced a similar issue, which we root-caused and fixed a few weeks ago. Hopefully, it helped your experience as well.
