Hello Robloxians,
I hope you’re all excited for the upcoming summer update! While the exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, I wanted to share some exciting new features that we’ve been working hard to bring to you.
Firstly, NPCs will now line up when a fire alarm goes off. They will either head to their assigned classroom lines or, if that’s not possible, join a random classroom line. Additionally, players can interact with NPCs in new ways. You’ll be able to catch students who are skipping class, and these students will line up behind you as you escort them to detention. If detention is full, they’ll automatically return to their classroom.
Teachers will also have new interactive features with their students. They’ll be able to take attendance using the “Vast Studio’s” Laptop, and it’s visible to anyone who opens the register. After taking attendance, teachers can ask students questions, and students will respond appropriately. If a student who should be in class isn’t, it will be logged in the system for players to catch the skippers.
NPCs can now take exams with teachers supervising them. They also have new functionalities such as going to the bathroom, lining up for lunch in separate lines, and deciding to eat either inside or outside. Additionally, NPCs will be able to go home at the end of the day. Some students might approach their teacher about a missed assignment or forgotten homework, and teachers can respond accordingly.
Moreover, NPCs can cause a commotion by fighting, creating a scene in the school. Players can intervene to stop the fight, but if it goes on too long, the police will be dispatched automatically to arrest the instigator. Detentions will now be held during the school day instead of at the end.
We’re also excited to announce a Principal update in Part 2 of the summer update, which will include a new Vast Studio’s screen featuring a whiteboard that you can write and draw on, among many other features.
