Shade smooth not applying to bottom/interior of mesh

After uploading this hammer mesh as a FBX, I noticed that the interior sections and bottom parts of my mesh are not shaded smooth. I’ve ran into this problem before with a previous mesh, thought I just ignored it. All other parts of the mesh are shaded as expected.

I’ve checked my sharp edges and checked export settings too my best knowledge. This issue does not show up in Blender. So I assume it’s an exporting or importing problem. If anyone has run into this issue before and can help me out, I’d really appreciate it.

Is that Auto Smooth or just regular Smooth?

I’m not familiar with the difference. I right clicked while in object view and selected ‘shade smooth’.

Same images but in blender with sharp edges visible.

try selecting the model and enabling this

I’ve tried, removing all sharp edges and only using auto smooth and it didn’t seem to effect anything. Exact same results.

You can change the percentage on auto smooth to a higher number. That will smooth out the sharper edges as well.
