Shadows Are Not Rendering Properly

Hello everyone! I am making a cabinet and I ran into an issue with the lighting. The shadows of the parts in that model look very odd. Of course, I can always turn off the “CastShadow” property, but it does not look very realistic.

So, is there a way to keep the “CastShadow” property enabled but render them in properly (not have those odd dark squares come up)?

Thank you all in advance.

What is your EditQuality set to? Also, does the cabinet consist of any unions or glass parts?

May I see a zoomed out version of the model? I want to try to recreate it to see what the issue is.

Sure here:

Also the model is pretty big, and I need it to be big for my game.

Yep, I’m familiar with the issue now.

From my experience, there’s no real fix to that because when the model is that large, it seems that certain parts of the shadow don’t get rendered properly, and it doesn’t fix unless you move in close to the shadow. However that doesn’t really work if the model is large, since it’s impossible to have the camera close to all of the edges if it’s too large.

If the model has to be large, your best bet would be to somehow make it just slightly smaller so that it’s within the range that shadows render properly. Other than that, I’m not really sure.
