As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to manage Open Cloud API Keys in a team.
As a large team, it’s likely that different engineers will need to upgrade, improve, and change services that make use of Open Cloud API Keys. At the moment, it appears that only I can see the API Keys I made on the group. Since these are “group owned” keys and show no indication that they belong to me, I’d expect other users with the same permissions to be able to see and change these keys.
Now, if there’s any issue with these keys, either I have to be present to fix it another engineer has to generate a whole new key with (hopefully) the same permissions configured. Let’s hope I never leave – then new keys would need to be generated for every service I worked on!
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because we will be able to share workload and avoid mistakes and downtime associated with generating and assigning new keys to services.
