In this video, I import a pair of shoes attached to this bug report as an FBX to studio and use the accessory fitting tool to rig each shoe as the proper left and right shoe. In the video, I display the outer cages of each shoe, being outside the respective left and right shoes. However, upon uploading, it claims that 96% of the outer cage edits to not cover the accessory, when they very clearly do in both the video, and the following image from the exported file in blender
the problem here is that all the verts in the outer cage are subtly moved from the inner cage. So the error messages are saying that verts not near the shoe area have been moved. Try taking a look in Blender to see if you can see what might have caused this to happen
In my case both cages are in the same position and the exact same size (apart from the foot area where the shoe is).
I’ve also redownloaded and imported a fresh cage from Roblox’s resources and still experienced the same error (with the same percentages). I’ve recaged the shoes four times with the same results.
I think it’s evidently a bug since both of us have received errors with the same percentages.
I took a look at your FBX file, and there’s a 0.001 difference in Y (where Y is up) between your Inner and Outercages. Can you try again after making that adjustment and let us know if it fixes the issue?
I’m attaching a screenshot where I’m zoomed into the cage’s right foot.
Because shoes are bundled using a left and right shoe (i.e. two separate Accessories and Accessory Types), I suspect that the uploaded doesn’t like it when you only upload one shoe.
So can you try uploading as a pair first? If that works, then it’s not a caging issue, and we’re going to make that language more clear i.e. you need to upload them as a pair.
I checked the shoes, and the most recent fbx file for you sent me for the left shoe works. The right one has the vertex density issue, but the left one definitely works. Let us know if you see otherwise.
Great! No idea what could’ve happened, but glad it’s working now. Thanks for sending the files back and forth. Let us know if there’s any other issues.
