Short and simple scripting tutorials

Hey developers!

Recently, I have been producing a new series called “2 minute scripting”. Not sure if this has been done before, but I haven’t seen anything like this in a while.

My purpose for making these tutorials was to get people with a “lowered attention span” into scripting with fast pasted tutorials.

You can check out the 2 I have so far here:

Any feedback is appreciated.

I really LOVE them! They’re so easy to understand, not boring at all and they go straight to the point of the video! The only problem is that they’re really fast, so for who don’t know very much about the topic presented by the video it’s hard to understand. Maybe I’ll slow them a little bit (for example 3 minute scripting!), focusing on how the things work. Anyway good job, these are really nice tutorials!

Thanks! The intention was to go really fast, but also for people so slow the video/pause it regularly.

The tutorials were very usefull you should do more.

Not gonna lie, your 2 minute scripting lessons made me learn more things in 2 videos than 5 on youtube lol

Especially the discord one, that is very useful for new lua programmers.

Some people might have small screen or bad resolution, so they might find reading your code difficult.
I suggest CTRL+ + to zoom when typing the code.

I think these are a great idea, however, like what mattozzo said, it may be a bit too fast paced for complete beginners. Good job!

It’s awesome to see some more condensed tutorials! One thing I did notice throughout them both that was quite disorienting for me, however, was the constant shaking of the frame throughout the entire video. This took away my focus, especially while you were typing code and etc.

As I have motion sickness, I unfortunately couldn’t keep the video playing for any extended period of time without having to pause the video more frequently than I normally would in another tutorial. This heavily detracted from the efficiency that a short video normally provides me. Besides that, however, great job with keeping it quick so that people are able to more easily reference back to it as they implement it into their game!

I tried out these and they are REALLY AWESOME! I really liked them, and as an aspiring developer (who literally got promoted to member 5 seconds ago lol), they are going to help me for sure! The one thing that I don’t like is that the resolution isn’t very good. But I also have a bad computer. So I don’t really know. Good job!

Thanks for the feedback! It’s always hard “aspiring” to do YouTube with a literal potato as a computer.

Thanks. They’re awesome. I subscribed!!

Thanks for 50 likes! Should I continue this series? If so, what videos would you like to see?
