Should I be afraid of uploading textures on my main account?

  1. What do you want to achieve?
I want to upload textures without any problems.

  2. What is the issue?
I want to know if it´s possible to upload textures without getting a warm, ban or termination.

  3. What solutions have you thought of so far?
Creating an alternative account, but it seems quite tedious.

Why would you be afraid of uploading textures on your main acc? Are they textures that could break the Roblox TOS? If so then no you can’t. As long as you think the textures won’t break TOS you probably won’t be warned, banned, or terminated for it.

I´ve read that many people got a warn or banned for uploading a texture for a mesh, so I´m a bit afraid about it.

The thing is I can’t really help you unless you tell me specifically what you want to upload and are afraid will get you in trouble.

Well the texture i want to upload is for a racing car, the texture only has a few coloured lines carbon fiber and that´s all, no real life brands on the texture. The texture is still on wip.

If theres no real brands then yeah there shouldn’t be any problem. If you really want to play it safe then just upload it on an alt then when its clear upload it on your main.

Yes you should because i get warned for hair textures and clothing textures etc so yea i use my alt to do stuff like that now cause the moderation be warning for nothing.

Also should i rename the decal, so the moderation doesn´t think it is a copy?

I’m not sure if it would matter if they had the same name but if you want to be safe then sure why not.

But what happens if every alt account I´ve created got banned, it is possible to be IP banned after that?

No - you shouldn’t be afraid.

Assuming you understand the rules and you don’t risk uploading something you shouldn’t, you more than likely won’t be moderated. In the unlikely event that textures are blocked you can appeal to Roblox Support and they will reinstate it if they agree it was flagged incorrectly.

Content moderation has improved a lot over recent years. There’s a negative stigma around moderation and although lots of it is valid, some of it is sadly fueled by bias and misinformation (e.g. ‘moderation is done by bots’ or ‘I was banned for x so this means moderation will ban you too!’). Instead of relying solely on peoples’ stories you should try it yourself and come to your own conclusion about the system - but some of the negativity is blown way out of proportion.

To use my own case as an example, only 1 of the past 50 decals I’ve uploaded has been rejected (without moderation action).
