Should I censor single player custom names?

So if I had a solo player RPG where you can have a custom name that npc’s would refer to you as… Should I run it through the roblox filter to see if they type any bad language…? it’s not in multiplayer so other players cant see it.

Hmm what if you dont censor it chances are the roblox moderation will take action against you for having it in your game. Your best bet is just censoring it any ways.

Well, there is the chance that they could record a video and post on media.

I’ve also seen games like Loomian Legacy censor names in singleplayer, so that’s something.

I don’t see why you should filter names that are only visible to the player. textboxes that have innapropriate words are the exact same. But please do not take my word for it and instead review roblox’s TOS.

How will they take action, its literally a single player game for crying out loud.

Roblox moderation bots, and much more. Ofc they have something in place so if something were to happen in a single player game they could stop it.

But how, its literally singleplayer, bots only manage report system and chatlogs. nothing else.

ok lets be real, lets say someone creates a single player game and the dev finds a way to put bad text in the game that isnt there in the actual studio file, so its only there when playing the game, if there wasnt a way to deal with this that would be a problem, so if roblox has any brain cells they defiantly have a solution for this problem, it would be horrible if they didnt.

Hundreds of games get convicted of breaking TOS but hardly any of them get took down because of roblox’s lack of care.

Just cause they dont do anything doesnt mean they dont have a system that can deal with this sort of thing.
So why take the risk? My point still stands, filter it just in case, ya never know what could happen?

I usually say this because roblox puts a blind eye to everything. It’s only when its serious they take action.

You don’t need to censor something only the local player will see

That’s what I told him, only the local player will see it. What difference would it make.
