Should I do R6 or R15 for a first person pirate game?

Hiya! I am currently making a first person pirate game. The demo is going to come out in a week and I do not know if I should do R6 or R15. I want the one that is less laggy thank you.

Depends on if you’re animating the characters, etc. If you’re not a great animator, R6 may be the way to go. If you fancy proper joints, then use R15.

It all depends on what you think you will like AND can do.

I prefer R6 as it’s easier and it gives me classic roblox vibes :sunglasses:

Edit: I just realised that it says R16, lol.

Edit 2: Lag will depend on the amount of body parts, if you have servers over 200 players and R15, it may lag a bit for lowerend devices. I’m assuming it would be 1-15 players, so no. It wouldn’t really lag either way

Edit 3 (Sorry): If you want fluid R15 animations but like R6 bodies, consider using a mashup. I have one somewhere from a script that a friend made, and the require is in my inventory, so I’ll open for anybody who wants to use it

If you want the less laggy version it would technically be R15 as it overall stores less data for animations, joints, physics, etc. Truly though it doesn’t make much of a difference, choosing between R6 and R15 is a design choice.

Isn’t R15 more laggy? More parts moving around, more lag, I think.

Depends on player count, it should not lag with less than 25-35 people :v

R6 is simpler to work with if you wanna do complex/fancy animations than do R15.
