I started creating my game back in 2020 to occupy myself when I got bored and then worked on it on-and-off for 3 years. I had stopped production after Easter when my advertising money ran out.
My advertisements did abysmal and has practically cut me off from pushing my game out (This was before youtube shorts were a popular way to advertise).
This experience is a labyrinth of liminal spaces that all connect within 50+ rooms! It’s mostly exploration and a collectathon with 59 unique figurines to collect around the entire place.
The rooms are created to give both new and old players a sense of unease like pictures of liminal spaces do with a mix of retro and high detail rooms spread throughout the entire game.
I am not a scripter so the functions are pretty limited but there are gears that I customized and noise making clickables all over, along with the badges.

Advertising/Monetization Info
I had put roughly 12000 robux into advertising and made back 2000
My play times during my advertisements were low as a minute and an average of ~7 minutes with some 30+ minute outliers.
The analytics have been lost as it was longer than 3 months ago.
I do not wish to give up on my baby although it is in a somewhat good position to do so. The people who ““reviewed”” and commented on it said it has good potential ! However I am stuck when it comes to getting the motivation required for me to push through what could just be more drought. If you believe this project can actually genuinely financially stable then I will be happy to continue it.
If any more information is required I am happy to provide. Thank you
Unsure of the overall goal (Collect all the badges?)
Very cool features (Found the chess board)
The trick with advertisement is that you will need to grasp the attention of anybody looking at it. Look for a GFX artist and create something that really “POPs”. In game make useful gamepasses that are not overpriced to improve gameplay for users. Advertise these passes in game.
I’m sorry you lost a lot in this project but with more work I could really see this taking off. Maybe make the game friendly for all users to explore by making clear cut goals and objectives.
Advisory Standpoint
If you can financially fund this project 5,000 -10,000+ Robux you have a chance at revamping products like advertising (GFX and other art) and scripting that could improve gameplay. Gamepass sales are going to be the primary income, premium payout being second. Use tactics like hook pulling to get players in game. Promote your game anytime you can by being your own walking advertisement along with your friends.
P.S Make a fan group that can push momentum. (host fun activity’s and have staff that promotes good gameplay)

Do you imply the current gamepasses are too expensive?
I’m fine with lowering the prices if they are - just want to make sure.
I’ll definitely make more useful gamepasses and better ads (I’m alright at digital art so I might not need to hire anyone.) Aswell I’ll implement more fun scripting things like light switches, warps like the chess board, more free gears, ect
I think i’ll go with someone had suggested months earlier that a door would open after you got a certain amount of badges that leads to more rooms ! Maybe i’ll make quests and doors that only open after certain requirements to keep players engaged.
I don’t think anyone else suggestion that mine will work. So all you can do right now, try to beg popular youtubers to help out with your game getting on their video or making clickbait on-trend game, and Then roll player traffic for your 2020 game (“also play my other game”, etc)
No way! Honestly, I’d tell my clients to bump up the price just a bit, but only if those gamepasses add some real value to the gameplay. However, when it comes to funny or comedic gamepasses, they should generally be more affordable since they serve a lighthearted purpose. Put yourself in the player’s shoes and think about what price points would feel ideal for these items.
Try to keep development costs down as much as possible without losing quality.

Personally, I would say game passes are the perfect price. The game isn’t popular, so you wouldn’t want expensive game passes. You want cheap reusable ones or just cheap ones that people wouldn’t mind spending Robux on. Unfortunately, I highly dislike horror type of games so I would be playing your game with bias. I may check it out later but it is like 2 am and there is no way I am playing a horror game past midnight…
