Should I rig the luck in my game?

For example,
opening a crate will grant you items,
you have a higher chance of getting “lucky” items but still have a higher chance of getting regular items
thats what i mean by rigging luck

I don’t know if this would be a terrible thing to do because people usually associate rigging something to be lying but I just want to rig the luck to favor the player so that they think are lucky so that they keep playing. Kinda like a reverse casino

So a difficult item might say 5% chance, but it would actually be 8%?

If you are thinking about lying, like @JarodOfOrbiter has stated, then Roblox’s TOS forbids it. You have tell the player their chance of getting an item from an egg or whatever you are using if Robux are involved.

you should tell players the odds regardless of whether robux is spent

Or you can just not show anything

You should leave as it is but you should make a developer product that makes a player chances higher of getting “lucky” items. The advantage of that is that you can receive robux while they repeatedly buy it to increase their chances but the disadvantage is they may not want to spend much depending on what price you put it as.

the problem with making gamepasses like this is how difficult it is to be honest with it. saying something like “raises your chances of getting rare items” is misleading because rare is subjective and it doesn’t tell you how much it raises it by. what i did was designate items into rarities, specified what rarities are affected, said exactly how much it increases their odds by, and wrote a formula to calculate the new percentages. its best to just not tiptoe around making luck based things since its so risky and complicatrd
