Should I stop developing my game or continue developing it?

Hi everybody I am solo developer and i am new to roblox development but i have 2 years of experience in hyper-casual game industry. But i want try my chance on roblox and make profit from it. So i did two games here, one of them was kinda small party game but i quit developing it. After that, I spent 1,5 month on my latest game and i was hoping to make a profit from that. Actually my goal is to earn 1k usd for each month. But i am total zero again. This is what i got from my visits;

And this is what my place stats looks like;

And also my developer stats

In the beginning i was losing players because they dont get how to play. After that, i added a tutorial and i hold those players for I while and my total visit length increased. With my last update, Roblox gave me good amount of organic traffic on Aug 31 and Sep 1 but my last update was kinda buggy and it broke gameplay. I fixed this on Sep 2 but Roblox decided to stop giving me traffic and i lost concurrent player count( concurrent player count was 5 but it was good for me). My game is competitive game actually so it is more engaging when there are other players. I made this game inspired by Noob Army Tycoon but there is a huge difference in the end.What am i doing wrong? I have 10 min average visit length, day second retention is probably low but i am thinking there is a design problem first. My game is kinda medieval management game. You are hiring gladiators and buying or forging equipments for gladiators and you are fighting in the arena to hold and capture areas that give you profit to get better equipments. What do you think? 1k robux wont do anything, and this is coming from a person who tested it. 20k robux would give you 30-80 players in your game. 100k would give you like 250+ players.

Try to find someone that would invest in your game!

Well, if you really need help: Should I? - Roblox
It will decide for you.
Enjoy lol

10k can get you 300-500 players depending on how good and playable your game is. Also on how much it attracts users. I’ve spent 10k on my game and i’ve gotten 400 players easily with it.

Looking at promoting my game soon I have 7.7k funds, I want make it go as far as possible. Earlier I spent 250 on ads and 250 on sponsor. I believe the sponsor gained me more players then the ad, I don’t really understand the sponsor statistics. But what strategies do you use when promoting a game?

It’s a sad reality, but most of the time you need to spend big if you want to get noticed. If you really want to take off without having to wait long-term, you’ll need to spend 10k+ Robux, probably more than twice.

You can find investors across the internet, try multiple social platforms, discord, reddit, etc, or do commissions for a while and earn enough to advertise, then come back to your game.

Continuing developing risks the chances of burnout which can happen if you develop a game for a long enough time frame while not earning consistent players, one year is an example. Though stopping development means you’ve put a lot of hard work towards close to nothing (aside from giving you knowledge).

Ultimately it’s your choice, not others :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey i dont think spending big amount will help. Actually i spend less to test my icons, in-game images and ads. I couldnt find good one, but my real problem is i cant hold my players for long periods for this reason i stop advertising. I have 90 fav which is high i think, but those players not returning to increase my concurrent players. What I’m trying to understand is that although Noob Army has a high number of concurrent players but my game has really low. Both games do not have good graphics, upgrade-based games. My game little more complicated but i dont know what is wrong actually.

Well there are a few ways and I will list the most important ones in my opinion:

You need high retention rates, which means players who play your game stay in there so that your player-base will grow much faster than other games. Just think of it like this, if your game gets 2x more retention (check your game stats) more than the average then you will have 2x more players at a time and that is 200% efficiency for the robux spent.

Also make sure that you have a really eye catching and good quality advertisement. See if it gets more clicks than your thumbnail of your game in sponsoring. I recommend having 2 advertisements that are DIFFERENT to see which one is better at gaining clicks.

Also if you can, try to make your advertisements relative to what your game is about. For instance, if it’s an anime fighting game, make sure your advertisement shows or says that it is. That way your player-base will more likely stay in your game and thus increase retention, but also they are more likely to play your game again, and maybe even tell or bring some of their friends. This is organic growth of a game.

You can also add a trailer to your game if you want- doing that can show players what it’s about beforehand although not a lot of developers do this because a thumbnail can do the job as well.

Good luck.
