So I have a question for all the builders out there. I have just started building and I have heard a lot of people talking about Blender. I have never used Blender for my builds so I would like to know if it is a must-have for building.
Do I need to use Blender if I want quality builds? Or can you use the studio? I want to be able to build low-poly builds, and everyone says use blender. But then some other builders I know say you can just use studio plugins, so which one is better? I will show some screenshots of the builds I am trying to achieve.
(Also I know another topic like this exists but it doesn’t answer my question.)
As always thanks for reading!

I’d have to go with blender on that one. It shouldn’t be too hard to learn, and once you get the hang of it over time, building things like the pictures above won’t come hard at all. Learning Blender will help you in the long run.
I myself is also new to Blender as well! Those builds that you are trying to achieve can be easily built using blender. So I highly suggest you learn how blender works. It might be overwhelming at first (been there before) but if you stick with it, you’ll get the hang of it.
As stated earlier by another person, Blender does offer a lot more than Roblox Studio. Although you can still create many different types of “low-poly” designs with Roblox Studio, it isn’t the most efficient way to go. Especially with the bottom right image, you cannot create terrain in Roblox Studio by hand. I have seen a couple of plugins attempt to recreate the “Blender terrain” style, but it isn’t the best or efficient.
I tend to switch between Roblox Studio and Blender quite often, though. Roblox Studio (for me) is perfect for the realistic builds while Blender is more in the “low-poly” category.
Plugins are a great choice for Roblox Studio. I have seen some very complex buildings using just merely Plugins. I can only imagine how long this would take to do by-hand though.
If you learn Blender now, it will help you in the long run. Many schools now are incorporating Blender and Sketch-Up into their programs. It is currently “in demand” with various builders and project leaders, so this is a perfect time to learn. Everything stated in this message is completely based on my opinion. You may figure out that after you learn Blender, you would like to stick with Roblox Studio. Blender is a confusing program to learn. If you wish to take that path, there are many YouTube tutorials for that.
Hope this helps your decision,

Will it actually depends if you want to use different types of software I myself use to practice in blender a while ago as it helped me a lot. Blender is great! And since it’s free, it’s used by a ton of Roblox developers. That means there’s a lot of YouTube guides, tutorials that will show you step by step how to do it! I recommend using the new updated version 2.8.
Blender is pretty known as a modeling software that Roblox developers use. I’d recommend learning how to use blender as its very useful and it’s free, however you could make a bunch of low poly builds with blender and studio, however it takes practice and patience to get the hang of blender.
