Should I use textured models for games instead, also needs feedback on my models

I am back from my training arc. I’ve learned blender and some drawing skills. Now instead of modeling in studio, i can start to create original concepts and model them in blender. I’ve also learned a little about texturing and I have been using studio colouring for models used for games, but texturing seem to be much useful and better. Should I learn more about texturing and use it for game models instead of relying on studio colouring? I feel like the details in my concept art can be embraced better with texturing.

Here’s a few example of my models and concept drawings, i require feedback and suggestions on improving them.

Most definitely!

Texturing a model may greatly help in really bringing out greater (smaller) details that would otherwise prove to be impossible to recreate simply with different parts.
Textures may provide greater color depth, contrast, and may even create visual illusions as if there’s much more than there really is.

Here’s the thing: say you wanted to create an armor set… or perhaps… a small village. Sure you may create an overly complicated model with hundreds of meshes, but that kind of detail comes at a very steep price - game performance.
Or you can take an alternative path - create a simpler model which may contain up to a few meshes, but instead, you rely on texturing to bring out more complicated detail. Sure it may not look “as great” as having actual physical parts to represent those same details, but texturing allows you to compensate complexity for better game performance and may create an illusion that something extra may be there that otherwise isn’t.

Definitely take your time to study texturing. It may come in handy at one point or another.
