I would like to propose the idea of creating a dedicated Roblox DevForum mobile application. While the current browser-based access works, a standalone app could significantly improve the user experience, especially for developers who often use mobile devices to stay connected.
Here are some potential benefits and features such an app could offer:
1. Improved Accessibility: A mobile-optimized app could provide smoother navigation compared to mobile browsers.
2. Push Notifications: Stay updated on replies, announcements, and important discussions in real-time.
3. Offline Access: Allow users to save threads and view them without an internet connection.
4. Enhanced User Interface: A design tailored for mobile devices could make participating in discussions more intuitive.
5. Better Engagement: Developers might engage more actively with the forum if access were more convenient.
Do you think this would be a worthwhile addition to the DevForum? What are your thoughts on the idea, and are there any specific features you’d like to see in such an app?
Well that’s the issue, why not using application from the app store, more easier and better optimized instead of going to google and search the devforum… LOL
The forum has a progressive web app that some browsers will allow you to download. It’s essentially a proxy app that brings you right to the DevForum like your browser just without the browser nav-bar.
The PWA does all of this minus “better UX” (the default mobile mode is garbage which is why I don’t use it, and push notifications being buggy. Also no offline mode but there’s really no use case for that, just add it to your home screen and there you go
