Should topics still be flagged, even if the user has removed the body of their topic?

After a user is consulted about breaking a rule in their topic, ie. investing, they’ll probably remove the topic body and edit it to something along the lines of: ‘This topic has been closed due to breaking rules’ w/ [CLOSED] in the title.

Should we still flag these even if they’re not breaking the rules anymore? I have a high certainty yes, but I just wanted some reassurance so I won’t flag incorrectly.

I would say yes since they have no content in them, so there is no point in them being open, it would be easier to flag them so they get closed.

Editing your post to be [CLOSED] is against the rules in and of itself, so you should still flag it.

Also note that forum moderators and TL4 (sages) are able to view a post’s edit history.

Which rule covers this? I’ve taken a quick read through the rules again but I can’t find anything to do w/ this.

Self-vandalism of topics should be flagged because it clutters up the forum and is inappropriate posting behavior.
