The menu is supposed to look dark. It is supposed to be a contrast to the rest of the game which is mostly bright colors. And the locks are just a placeholder.
Only one more suggestion I can make, is to remove the borders when it connects with something.
Quickly made this, so ignore the imperfections, but ti would look a little better with an edit like that.
that might be difficult to make…
but I can try making something similar
Keep me updated on how it goes
It seems like you have a good start.
Well me and my friend thinked of an Cartoony game idea so we made this! (Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes)
The shadow is a little too dark, have you tried turning the transparency for it down, or just making it lighter?
Well, I just figured out how I can make an effect like that! I will send a screenshot once I added it
Honestly, this reminds me of 2009 design style. Depth, neon colors and rounded corners. I think that making that design more flat and ‘modern’ would make it look awesome.
This looks awfully like the UI in the mobile game Dragalia Lost.
Correct! That was the inspiration.
Ah I see, looks great though regardless.
PLEASE. MAKE.A.TUTORIAL.
This will help people so much
And I just released the game! Finally after many months of working on it!
I don’t like the shop button… it looks very generic. But very nice work overall
Love all of the special icons (other than the shop)
I like the overall feel to the UI you have setup. My personal preference would be that the shop button would be located with the others in the open slot. It looks a little out of place in my opinion all alone on the right side.
What do you guys think of this design for a GUI close button? The left shows the normal display and the right shows the hover over image.
