Show the old game icon whenever new icons are still being moderated

As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to change your game icon while players are playing your game without hurting your game’s discovery in the process

Today, I just swapped out my game icon to highlight a major update. However, I’ve been waiting for an entire hour for my new icon to pass moderation!

This means that players are seeing no game icon at all for an entire hour

This is completely unacceptable, especially during a critical time like the weekend where I am trying to gain reach for my game by highlighting a major content update!

If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because I can safely try out new icons for my game without affecting the end user experience.

It would be very nice for the previous icon to show up until the new one passes moderation, or for there to be a way for me to upload the icon, wait for moderation, and then manually switch to it once that happens!

I understand roblox in the past has made guidelines recommending consistency in game icons that accurately represent an experience—however, I don’t see how players being forced to see an “unmoderated image” placeholder helps this. Perhaps roblox can implement a limit to how often you can upload new icons/change your icon in a day.

Solution for the time being:

Make an empty place where you upload the icon and use it as the ‘mod check place’. Once an icon is cleared, it goes through without needing for more moderation so you can just upload the icon directly to the target place.
