Showcase of my biggest game project: AP400 PART 1

a long, long time ago, ive made post in here presenting what i call the biggest project of my life (probably my only showcase lol, don’t feel like posting a lot for not much content, that plus social anxiety lol), and since it was very vague and not interesting, i figured out i should probably do another one a year after

and yes, i am already throwing the “professionalism” of my post out the door before it even came in, i am not trying to sell something, i am only showing a cool thing ive made.

AP400 PART 1, is a fast-paced solo FPS game about a decomissioned android tagged as “to be recycled”. the very annoying thing is that, SIL Enterprises, the company behind the AP400 Military Grade android, has been known to have used an AI way too advanced, and older versions of said android, are malfunctioning, and slowly opening up their eyes and minds.

AP400-51-601, or simply “The Deviant” (or 51-601, really), is the android the player embodies.

the gameplay of the game itself takes inspiration from ULTRAKILL, Half-Life 2 and DOOM Eternal

(some might say the environment around the facility part is inspired by Portal, or maybe even Tunneler)




the game will feature multiple bossfights (tho i will definitely take time with coding them, don’t wanna have a basic bossfight on a game of this scale)

one of these bosses is SE-81, one of the latest models of the AP400 android series created by SIL yet

there are also many other characters, friendly or not, that will appear in this game, it is not really a “proof of concept” game, but more of an entry point to the universe that lies in the insanity of my mind.

here’s some sketches done for one of the many characters that are bound to make an appearance, either in part 1 or 2


(her name is “Narcissa” btw, and no it doesn’t have anything to do with the greek myth)

and yes you can TEST OUT the game, please be aware tho that there is not much content as most of the time spent was not really related to 51-601’s storyline for AP400 PART 1, but more of what is to come

i would have loved to share more footages, but let’s just say im the kinda person to not record my personal projects THAT much and focus more on the work itself (plus most of them are already outdated)

Wow! That game looks amazing, from the graphics to the models. It’s just awesome.

Looks really cool from what I’m seeing. Don’t have time to play the game right now, but How long do you think this story is gonna be?

thanks, took me years to polish! it was kinda the same in the beginning but it was way more of a stupid thing, kinda like a parody of itself, so im glad it evolved lol

the story is planned to be way too long than what the average does here on roblox, the goal is to give an experience kinda similar to Valve’s approach on storytelling. and thanks for the compliment! i appreciate it

Hello! I’ve tried out the demo and I gotta say, im really excited to try this out. I love the art style and the music. That thumbnail is also so cool dude, gets me hyped

The only feedback I have:

  • The map design needs some work but, I know its really just a testing ground and you probably just haven’t worked on it that much. Just more props and all as right now its mostly just blocky rooms.
  • When I was fighting the first enemies, the death noise got louder and louder with every kill to where it started to hurt my ears a bit. Probably a really quick fix though
  • I’d change the crosshair

I love to see a story based game for once. I wish you the best on your project and I’ll try it out when its done for sure

the map design is very VERY early, i haven’t gone into the polishing yet, it is only a “devtest” after all

yeah it is an issue with how most NPCs have their models based off of the base NPC model ive made in early versions back in 2023, and the death sound was very quiet, it’ll be fixed next update!

crosshair’s been a placeholder for years at that point, i got used to it lol, kinda sad to see it has to go, but yea ill change it

ive been working on some levels in the background, things that are accessible in game, but only through the devconsole,
like this level, which will be the one where the fight against AP400-SE-81 would take place in

i also was working on updating an asset of the game, being the SIL Co. Aerial Vehicle

there’s a complete rewrite of the game’s code in the work, but as im facing many issues right now, im sticking with the old code as for now

Looks really cool, especially the main menu. Will there be many cutscenes/how important is the story in the gameplay?

the story plays a huge part in the game,

for cutscenes, on the other hand, we haven’t really decide how will that play out yet
