Recommendations, Feedbacks, & Suggestions for my Showcase Terrain
I am currently working on my Japanese-autumn-themed showcase. I am currently shaping the island out of the Studio’s own terrain tool, and a few rock models. I am looking for a natural style of shape and a sense of randomness, yet coordinating with each other to create a nice landscape. Looking for feedbacks, suggestions, and recommendations!
Thank you! I had already set the water to a 0.25 transparency. It doesn’t show up in my studio, because of the graphics, but it does work on my game! Thank you so much for the feedback!
UPDATE: I have finished shaping the terrain! Thank you for the suggestions and feedbacks. I had already implied your suggestions and fixed some issues.
Here are some pictures of the results of the terrain shaping:
No offence but this terrain build looks minimal and simple, you’d be better off building terrain at a large to huge scale as this will allow you to apply more decorations to your terrain build, besides the vegetation and other whatnot models of course.
Amazing build, I really like the close ups, I couldn’t really think of anything in the close up pictures to change. I do see that the rocks look like they are being repeated in a pattern.
I also think that you should add some boulders dotted around the island’s grassy parts, there seem to be a lot of rocks on the shore, but not really phased into the land.
I am a sucker for good terrain and this build is defiantly one of my favorite Japanese ones. I like the boat too! I hope you keep making great builds, thanks for reading and have a good day!
I only plan making a minimalistic terrain rather than adding more mountains and hills. The idea of a bigger terrain might be better though, but this might be the only terrain style I think fitting for my showcase.
